When you think of California wine country, you naturally think of Napa and Sonoma counties since they are the most famous and most visited counties.  But wine country in California actually runs along the coast from as far south as Santa Barbara County to Mendocino County in the north.

www.winecountry.com is one of the best websites we've found that pulls together and presents information about all of the wine regions.  Here you can find information by region about the wineries, hotels, events and things to do.

Rather than duplicating their information, we'll concentrate on our experience and offer suggestions on how to enjoy the area.

Beringer Vineyards

V. Sattui Winery

Robert Mondavi Winery

Sterling Vineyards

Domaine Chandon

Domaine Chandon is Denni's favorite sparkling winery.  It's a "must" stop for every trip we take to the Napa Valley.

Looking for a place to stay?  Consider the Hotel St. Helena.  A quaint bed-n-breakfast hotel with an interesting past.  Make sure you reserve a room with a bath or you'll have to go down the hall to the bathroom, much like the working girls had to do in the hotel's earlier days.
